You’ve probably heard the phrase "rewrite your story" before but what does that actually mean?
So many of us walk through life operating from stories we don’t even realize we’re carrying—narratives built from past experiences, fears, or beliefs that once helped us survive… but no longer serve who we’re becoming.
These stories aren’t facts.
They’re interpretations.
And they can be rewritten.
Rewriting your story is about bringing awareness to the thoughts, beliefs and patterns that are keeping you stuck and choosing to see them differently.
It’s not about pretending things didn’t happen.
It’s about reclaiming your power and deciding that your past doesn’t get to dictate your future.
🌱 Some Common Old Stories (and How to Reframe Them):
😰 Old Story: I’ve failed too many times; it’s not worth trying again
😍 Reframe: Every failure taught me something I needed for my next step
😰 Old Story: This is just how life is for me
😍 Reframe: I have the power to choose differently and create a new path
😰 Old Story: I’m not smart/talented/good enough to succeed
😍 Reframe: I’m capable of learning, growing, and figuring things out
😰 Old Story: I need to be perfect before I can begin
😍 Reframe: I don’t have to be perfect to take the first step. Progress over perfection.
When you rewrite your story, you create space for new possibilities.
You begin to see yourself as resilient. Capable. Worthy. Evolving.
And here’s the truth:
💫 You don’t have to wait for someone else to give you permission.
💫 You don’t need the perfect plan or perfect timing.
💫 You just need one moment of awareness and one small shift.
